Dr. Randy Olson, filmmaker, biologist, and author of ‘Don’t Be Such A Scientist’, will lead workshops for natural resource professionals on February 9, and for students on February 10 (prior to the start of the 2016 NDCTWS Annual Conference. These workshops will provide tips and strategies to help us tell our conservation story more effectively. ND Chapter of The Wildlife Society Presents – Beyond Better Biology – Learn How to Tell Your Conservation Story More Effectively!
February 10-12, 2015 – Mandan, North Dakota
The 2016 Annual Conference will focus on improving the effectiveness of conservation communication. The Conference will feature a number of unique speakers representing disciplines not normally considered by the conservation community. These speakers will help us to more effectively tell our conservation story. In addition, preceding the Conference, there will be two professional development workshops and a free student seminar focused on storytelling for scientists. The workshops will be led by Dr. Randy Olson and held on Tuesday (2/9/16), and the student seminar on Wednesday morning. Details on the workshops and registration forms will be available in the fall newsletter. The theme for the meeting is “2015 – A Pivotal Year for the Future of Conservation”.
